PIQE Classes


We're excited to offer PIQE classes this year at WMS - that's Parent Institute for Quality Education - to support academic achievement to prepare students for high school and meet university entrance requirements. The classes are available to parents and guardians and will take eight weeks to complete starting with an initial introductory meeting on Wednesday February 22 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in our MPR. The classes will be taught in English and in Spanish and childcare for kids over the age of 2 will be provided.

Homework Help Club

Any interested WMS students are invited to attend the Homework Help Club, starting Monday, August 29th.  The club will meet each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Location and content details are included below:

Detection Canines

Winters JUSD has entered into an agreement with Interquest Detection Canines, Inc. to provide trained detection canines to help promote a safe and healthy school environment.  Our assigned canine, "Miley" is a non-aggressive Labrador retriever.  She and her handlers came for an introductory visit on September 1st.  They will visit our school site three more times this school year.  For additional information, please follow the link below.

Chromebook Training & Checkout

School-wide Chromebook checkout was conducted on Wednesday August 10th for families who had completed Chromebook orientation.  If you were unable to attend this checkout event, please contact the office to arrange a convenient alternative time.


If you haven’t completed chromebook orientation we will be contacting you with additional days and times to attend. Chromebook insurance is $25 per year, covers are $20 (6th graders only).



2016-17 School Site Council

The WMS Site Council meets once each month and has oversight of the School Improvement Program and the categorical budgets.  They also serve as the policy and governance oversight group for the school.  The financial and policy issues of the Site Council impact to our school, our parents and our students.  This year we had four parent vacancies and four parent candidates submitted statements of interest.  We are pleased to announce the members of the 2016-17 WMS Site Council:
